The series of ten, one day seminars across Europe showcase the latest tools and techniques in digital imaging capture and workflow demonstrated with Nikon Professional Imaging Products such as the FirewireTM compatible Nikon D1 digital SLR camera and Nikon Super Coolscan 8000ED multi-format film scanner.

The seminars take the form of a morning Digital Photography Showcase where you can learn:

* How you can adapt your existing talents and knowledge to take advantage of working digitally
* Exploring the creative and commercial opportunities that Nikon/ Mac digital photography offers.
* Learn how the shift from still to moving images is so easy on Macintosh computers
* Learn how Apple Desktop Movies presents an easy route to taking your visual skills into new areas both creatively and commercially.

See Nikon D1 and Coolscan image files captured, edited and manipulated on the latest high speed Mac G4 Powerbook and desktop systems as well as simple drag and drop image storage with the new SuperDrive TM DVD burner.

After a lunch break Nikon representatives will be available to offer a hands on developing the morning's themes further and demonstrating the Firewire speed of D1 with Nikon Capture software and the 4000dpi SuperCoolscan 8000ED multi format film scanner.

Speaking about the partnership Oren Ziv, Director Apple Creative Markets Europe said:
"At Apple we're constantly thrilled and amazed by what customers do with our products and nowhere more so than in the field of creative imaging. But we realise that even with a immensely powerful professional tool like the Mac great images begin in the hands of a skilled imaging professional. And in pro photography those guys use Nikon. And they do this for the same reason that many of them already have come to the Macintosh. Because it's not just a great system, it's absolutely the right system. That's why we'll be sharing the stage with Nikon. It's the right thing to do."

Robert Cristina, Professional Product Manager, Nikon Europe added; "Nikon welcome this initiative by Apple. Nikon lead the way when it comes to Total Image Quality. However quality is nothing without speed. Using a Mac with your FirewireTM enabled Nikon Camera or film Scanner maximises your workflow when both quality and time matter. Helping photographic and creative Imaging Professionals and enthusiasts to discover this for themselves is why we are taking part. Trained Nikon staff will be on hand at every venue offering hands on advice and support with the very latest Nikon Imaging Products. Nikon and Mac deliver an excellent combination of hardware and software tools to develop your digital photography business for the future. These seminars will show you how."
