Stylish new compact joins Nikon Coolpix range
The Coolpix 3500 follows the trend set by the innovative, inner-swivel Coolpix 2500. It's one of the coolest, trendiest digital cameras on the market and has an impressive feature set too. It slots into the range above the Coolpix 2500, offering an improved resolution of 3.2 effective megapixels.
Its 3x optical zoom lens has a focal range of 37-111mm (35mm equivalent) - great for a wide range of shooting situations. There's even a macro mode for shooting as close up as 4cm. The inner-swivel design allows picture taking from almost any angle and retracts neatly into the camera making it easy to carry around in a pocket or handbag.
The Coolpix 3500 is simplicity itself with a general-purpose Auto mode and 12 Scene Modes, including Sunset and Party, which handle all the settings automatically. The Quick Review feature allows viewing of the last image captured without having to scroll through menus.
Other features include - 5 Area Multi Autofocus, versatile 5 mode built-in speedlight, Nikon's 256 segment Matrix Metering and Noise Reduction function for clear, sharp images at slow shutter speeds.
Sending images to a computer is also easy with the Coolpix 3500. Images are transferred at the touch of a button ready to review, edit and share with family and friends almost instantly.
The Coolpix 3500 will be available from November at the recommended retail price of £349.99.
